A Word From The Author

Hello, and welcome to our community of growth, empowerment, and sustainability. I’m Chanika Forte’-Sesay, the mind and heart behind the Heart & Soil People’s Garden, and the stories you will find in our book series.

My journey began in the soil, among the bees and blooms, where I discovered not just the beauty of nature, but its power to heal, unite, and inspire. As the founder of BaeHive and ABC Mobile, I have witnessed firsthand the transformative impact of connecting with the earth and each other. These experiences fueled my passion for creating a world where women growers and entrepreneurs can thrive, supported by a community committed to eco-conscious living.

This book series is an extension of that dream. It’s woven from tales of resilience, teamwork, and the undeniable bond we share with nature. Each story is a seed, planted with the hope of inspiring young minds to nurture their connections to the earth, to each other, and to the communities they will grow to support.

Thank you for being part of this adventure. Together, let’s watch these seeds grow into a forest of hope, resilience, and sustainability.

Warmest regards,

Chanika Forte’-Sesay
